When a hockey player scores four goals in three of their first 10 games on the season, heads will turn - and not just defenders' heads watching him blow by for a breakaway.

After combining for five goals and eight points in two games this past week, Broncos forward Tyler Steenbergen was named WHL player of the week for the second time this season.

Now 11 games into the 2017-18 season, Tyler Steenbergen has 21 goals and 33 points.

In the WHL, the next highest in goals is the Victoria Royals' Matthew Phillips with 11, and next highest in points is fellow Broncos forward Aleksi Heponiemi with 30.

In the Broncos 5-4 overtime road loss to Kootenay Saturday, Steenbergen had a goal and two assists. On Friday he had four goals and a helper in a 6-4 road win over Lethbridge.

The Broncos are 9-1-1 to start the season, and the top line of Steenbergen, Heponiemi, and Glenn Gawdin have been a massive part of that.
