Shaunavon's Dyson Stevenson is the latest player with local ties to sign an American Hockey League contract.

The former Regina Pats forward agreed to a one year deal with the Phoenix Coyotes' farm team in Portland. Stevenson spent four years with the Pats, scoring 75 goals and 168 points, and had a career-high 38 goals to wrap up his junior career this past season.

Just in the last month, Swift Current Broncos forward Coda Gordon signed an Amateur Tryout Agreement with the Abbotsford Heat and former Bronco defenseman Graeme Craig signed a contract with the Oklahoma City Barons.

Former Bronco Graham Black also signed an ATO with the Albany Devils this month before agreeing to an entry-level deal with New Jersey this week.
