Newly acquired Swift Current Broncos goalie Stuart Skinner has made a great first impression in this week with his new team.

Skinner has been named the WHL's Goaltender of the Week.

Skinner won both of his starts last weekend, stopping 49 of 50 shots, earning him a .980 save percentage and 0.50 goals against average.

On Friday the Edmonton native made his Broncos debut after being trading from Lethbridge.

In his debut Skinner stopped all 29 shots, he faced for his fifth shutout of the year, in a 4-0 Broncos win over the Prince Albert Raiders. In his home debut, Skinner stopped 20 of 21 shots as the Broncos beat the Edmonton Oil Kings 9-1.

He the Broncos will look to continue their four-game winning streak as they kick off their U.S. Division road trip on Wednesday as they take on the Tri-City Americans.
