SunDogs Altheltics is gearing up for the start of the Volleyball season.

Great Plains College wants local volleyball players to come by and try out for their annual camp next month.

The camp is aimed toward scouting for the upcoming year.

"We really want to see what kind of athletes we've got out there. We know there's some really good talent in the high schools and surrounding area," said SunDogs Athletics and Recreation Coordinator Mona Patterson.

"So we really want to see what there is and give our coaches a chance to have a look to build the team. Obviously we have some players coming in this fall but, to look ahead and maybe build some teams for further on in the future." Patterson continued.

There will be two separate camps this year.

"The men's will run from 9am to noon that day on August 23rd and the women's from 1pm to 4pm," stated Patterson.

The camps will be held in the Irwin School Gym which is a different venue than usual.

Those interested can stop by the Swift Current Campus or phone 306-773-1531.
