The Great Plains College SunDogs men’s volleyball team will look to extend its season-opening two-match winning streak this weekend as they host the Bethany Eagles for a pair of matches at the GPC gym. Friday’s game will be played at 8 p.m. while Saturday’s is scheduled for 4 p.m.
GPC improved to 2-0 on the Prairie Athletic Conference’s young season Wednesday with a straight-sets victory (25-19, 26-24, 29-27) over the host Millar Edge in Pambrun. Bethany opened its season Oct. 6 with a five-sets win over the SIAST Kelsey Amaruks.
In women’s play Wednesday, the SunDogs women fell to 0-2 with a straight-sets loss (25-18, 26-24, 25-19) to Millar. They’ll have two chances this weekend to pick up their first win of the season as they’ll host Bethany at 6:30 p.m. Friday and again at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
