In SWAC senior basketball league, Gull Lake boys have re-entered after an absence of a number of years.  We welcome the Lions back and wish them the best!  The Lions first game was Dec. 13 when they travelled to Shaunavon to take on the Shadows.  Shaunavon was victorious by a 78-22 score.  High scorers for the Shadows were Dean Wilkins with 19 pts and Jesse Voll with 15.  The Lion’s high scorer was Jacob Anderson with 8 pts.  The Lions played again the next day and hosted Maple Creek Rebels.  Final score was 61-11 for the visiting Rebels.  High scorers for Maple Creek were Kyle Litonjua with 10 pts and Lane Lashmore with 9.  Dustin Cooke replied for Gull Lake with 6 points.    


    In senior girls’ play, Frontier Raiders played their first league game when they travelled to Shaunavon on Dec. 13.  The visiting Raiders were triumphant by a 71-31 score.  Leading scorers for Frontier were Samantha Glenn with 22 pts and Tanner Jensen with 17 pts.  Replying for Shaunavon were Sam Illerbrun and Dana Pritchard both with 8 points.
