The last SWAC Junior and Senior Basketball League games of 2018 took place this week. 

Senior League:

The SCCHS Jr Ardens narrowly edged the Herbert Laurel girls’ team 41-39. Swift Current was led by Jordyn Salberg with nine points while Kea Frase, Erika Sauder and Veda Gottselig all chipped in six. Top scorers for Herbert were Shyler Chartier with 10 points and Grace Meyers with nine.

The Swift Current Junior Colts beat the Gull Lake Lions by a score of 81-38. Ethan Murdoch and Griffin Duncalfe each put up 11 points for the Colts, while Ian Mittleholtz (16 points), Anthony Lamarre (15) scored the bulk for Gull Lake.

The Shaunavon Silhouettes were on the road in Maple Creek, winning 45-26 over the hometown Rebelles.

And, playing at home, the Frontier Raiders came up with a 59-47 win against the Shaunavon Shadows. The Shadows' Codee Smith poured in 23 points and Dawson Jacob scored nine. Meanwhile for Frontier, Kyle Anderson had an even two dozen points, while Brody Dumontel had 18.

Junior League:

The Waldeck girls were on the road, defeating Shaunavon 44-39.

The SCCHS grade 9 Ardens traveled to play the Wymark girls coming out on top in a 52-46 effort.

And, the Maple Creek boys hosted the SCCHS grade 9 Colts. The Colts proved to be too strong and came away with a 90-42 victory over the Rebels.
