For the second time in a row, the Swift Current 57's have clinched the top spot in the Western Major Baseball League's Eastern Division.

The 57's are in Moose Jaw to play the Miller Express in the final tune up of the regular season before they'll play fourth-seeded Moose Jaw in the first round.

Last night Swift Current came back from down 3-1 to win 6-5 over the visiting Regina Red Sox in front of a packed Mitchell Field for fan-appreciation night.

Keil Krumwiede again showed his ability to make an impact on both sides of the game,

The Glasgow, Mont. native sent a solo shot opposite field to right centre to lead off the seventh and came in for the save in the ninth. It was the second time in as many days Krumwiede hit a home run and recorded the save in a game, and the third time this season.

After pulling a home run on Friday, Krumwiede said head coach Joe Carnahan told him to stay inside the ball last night since they were staying away from him all night.

"They've been pitching me away all game," Krumwiede said. "Yesterday I ended up having a home run that they missed inside, so they weren't giving me that today. Joe even talked to me right before, said 'you're a good hitter, just trust your swing,' and it was good."

Krumwiede took the mound in the ninth up 6-4 and gave up a single and an RBI double before inducing two fly outs and finishing the game off by striking out Geordie McDougall.

Sean Chandler earned the win for Swift Current, throwing a clean seventh inning while striking out one, and designated hitter Blake Adams launched a two-run shot to left centre in the seventh. The Adams home run tied Brett Essau for the team lead with 11 - which is also the current franchise record.

Krumwiede said the 57's are feeling good going into the postseason.

"Coming in, pitchers are throwing well, hitters are starting to come alive, and it's not one to five guys coming alive, it's our whole line up."

In the game Red Sox first baseman Connor Reynolds dislocated his elbow trying to catch a ball thrown off the mark with 57's outfielder Matt Bondarchuk legging out a bunt.

Swift Current is now 32-15, while Regina is third in the East at 28-19. The Weyburn Beavers are second at 29-18.

Tonight the Weyburn hosts Yorkton and Regina hosts Melville, while the 57's have a 7:05 p.m. start.
