The South West Athletic Conference [SWAC] district golf championships were held at Streambank Golf course in Eastend over the weekend.

15 golfers from Eastend, Fox Valley, Pontiex, and Swift Current competed to try and move on to provincials.

The Swift Current Comprehensive High School boys were the winning team. The team consisted of Griffin Wilson, Gaige Calkins, Ethan Fizell and Nikhil Pool and the coach was Ron Bailey. The team total was 215. In second place was the team from Ponteix with 219 and third was Eastend with 257.

The individual results saw Griffin Wilson from Swift Current win with a 69 finish first, Gaige Calkins from Swift Current shot a 71 in second, and Rylan Egland from the Eastend shot a 76 for third place.

All of the golfers from the Swift Current team and the individual winners will advance to the SHSAA provincial championships in Estevan on September 22 and 23.
