The Swift Current Indians start the new WMBL season in a month's time, and the ball club is still looking for more billet families to take in players this summer.

"We're quite a bit shorter than we were in other years," said Angela Schultz, the team's Vice-President of Marketing. "We're sitting at seven players out of 22 that need to be placed, so we're about a third of the way there and have a long ways to go... Basically, you need to supply them with a bed to sleep on, some privacy, food in the fridge, and a place where they can wash their uniforms."

Schultz adds they can also get them in touch with past billets to help  get an idea of their experiences and find out if it's right for them.

"If anybody wants to contact a previous billet to talk with them and ask what their experience was like, get a hold of us and we'll set you up with someone," she added. "There's quite a few of us on the board that have billeted as well, and we've all had great experiences. These guys become part of your family. You keep in touch with them, talk with them at Christmas, talk with them about their schooling, and you get Mother's Day messages from them."

Those interested in billeting can contact any member of the Swift Current Indians board or visit their website at scindians.ca.

The Tribe start the season on May 29th against the Moose Jaw Miller Express at Mitchell Field.
