Former Swift Current Sr Colts’ volleyball standout Dylan Mortensen was recognized for a solid first post-secondary season this week when he was named a Canada West all-rookie in Men’s Volleyball.

The Outside Hitter led the University of Saskatchewan Huskies in Kills (299), an average of 3.36 per set, to go along with 116 digs, 32 blocks, and 24 service aces.
In his first year of eligibility, the 6-foot-6 Mortensen helped guide the Huskies to a 10-14 record, narrowly missing out on the eighth and final playoff spot.
