Three local baseball players are in Lethbridge competing at the 2015 Canadian College Baseball Conference.

Chad Schultz, Tyson Dyck and Josh Siemens are all competing with the Vancouver Island Baseball Institute Mariners.

The Mariners played their first game of the tournament last night, falling 7-0 to the Prairie Baseball Academy Dawgs.

Schultz registered 1 hit in his 3 plate appearances, 1 of just 3 hits the Mariners were able to record all game.

The Mariners will have two chances to get in the win column today as they play back-to-back games,

First up for Vancouver Island, will be the Okanagan college Coyotes at 12:30pm, followed by the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack at 3:00pm.
