Seven Swift Current United soccer teams were in Saskatoon at the Lakewood Kickstart Tournament over the weekend.

Combined with players from Lloydminster, the SC United teams saw one top-two finish out of the seven efforts.

The U13 Boys Division 2 team defeated Yorkton FC in the semi-finals to advance for a shot at gold. There, they won 3-2 over Prince Albert to take home the first place award.

Meanwhile, the U13 Boys Division 3 team advanced out of the round robin in second place, but couldn't advance past the semi-finals.

The U13 Boys Provincial Soccer League team played three games, ending with a draw and two losses in the U15 division.

The U13 Girls Division 2 team worked a 1-3 record and couldn't advance out of the round robin.

The U13 Girls Provincial Soccer League team placed third out of seven teams, narrowly missing a shot at the finals.

And, in the U15 age group, the U15 Boys lost in the semi-finals, while the U15 Girls went 0-4 with a short bench.

The Provincial Soccer League teams will next be back in Saskatoon May 25-27, while all other teams will be back in Swift Current for Southwest Soccerfest May 25-27.
