Evan Vossen played hero for McGill on Sunday

A storybook ending for Swift Current's Evan Vossen. In the final game of his CIS hockey career, Vossen scored the overtime winner to give McGill their first national hockey championship.

They won the game 4-3 over Western.

Vossen, McGill's Captain, played five seasons for the Montreal based university after a three year career with La Ronge in the SJHL.

The tournament also featured former Bronco Geordie Wudrick playing for the University of New Brunswick. They lost in the semi-final. Five former members of the Broncos or the Legionnaires (Andrew Bailey, Shayne Neigum, Brett Ward, Kyle Bortis and Travis Brisebois) played for the University of Saskatchewan in the tournament. They lost both their round-robin games.
