Former Kabos Bantam AA Broncos and current Home Hardware Midget AAA blueliner Joe Arntsen inked a WHL standard player agreement last week.

The Lethbridge Hurricanes selected Arntsen with their second-round pick (35th overall) in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft this past May, and signed their skilled prospect to a deal.

The 2003-born Arntsen averaged over 1.5 points-per-game last season at the Bantam AA level, recording 58 points (21 G, 37 A) over 37 combined regular-season and playoff contests.

Arntsen skated in one of two preseason games for the Hurricanes over the weekend, but was held off the stat sheet.

Likely to be back on the Legionnaires for the 2018-19 season after signing ahead of fall camp, the 6-foot-2, 180-pound Arntsen could be back in time for their preseason opener on September 6.

The Legionnaires take on the Moose Jaw Generals on the road to start their exhibition schedule.
