Ottawa Senators prospect Mika Zibanejad scored twice as Sweden stunned Canada 5-3 in the final exhibition game for both teams before the World Junior Hockey Championship.
Rickard Rakell, Filip Forsberg and Johan Larsson also scored for Sweden.
Mark Stone, Brendan Gallagher and Jaden Schwartz replied for Canada.
The World Junior Hockey Championships start on Boxing Day with Canada facing Finland.
Canada beat finland 3-1 in pre-tournament play on Monday.
