Another five medal day for Team South West in Estevan at the Saskatchewan Summer Games.

With the first day of Swimming competitions getting underway on Thursday, the South West team swam their way to four golds and one silver in the pool.

Tyler Piercy-Servant claimed gold in Special Olympic Male 100m Back.

Elyssa Tacchi took top spot in the Female 50m Breaststroke.

In the Special Olympic Female 50m Breaststroke, Jenae Ruetz scored Team South West a gold medal.

Team South West A finished top spot in the Male 4X100m Freestyle Relay.

Meanwhile, earning the lone silver of the day for the South West squad was Austin Lin in the Male 100m Fly.

Team South West now owns a total of 25 medals at the games, 11 gold, 11 silver and 3 bronze, which has them tied for fourth place in the overall medal standings.

Saskatoon currently leads the event with 55 medals.

Canoe and Kayak, Equestrian, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis and volleyball are all on the docket for Friday.
