Trailing 2-0 after two periods of play on the road against the league's top team in a winner take all game three, the odds were certainly against the Full Line Ag Female Midget 'AA' Broncos late Tuesday night in Estevan.

Despite the amount of damage done in the first two periods, the Broncos found a way.

Swift Current used a pair of third period goals to tie the Estevan Panthers, before going on to win the game 3-2 in overtime.

Still searching for their first goal of the game, Courtney Funk found the back of the net just over four minutes into the third for the 4th time in the playoffs to trim the Panthers lead to 2-1.

Then exactly five minutes later, the Broncos pulled even with Estevan on a goal by Bailey Wilson, making the score 2-2.

From there, the decisive game three headed into sudden death overtime.

Despite being outshot 36-16 in the end, it was the Broncos completing the comeback and getting the final laugh, as Funk scored her second goal of the game to send Swift Current to the South Saskatchewan Female Midget 'AA' Hockey League Championship Series.

For Funk, it was her fifth goal of the playoffs and ninth point overall.

Having defeated the league's top seed, the Broncos will now take on the Regina Capitals in the league final.

The Capitals also used a game three overtime victory to advance, when they defeated the Regina Ravens.

The schedule for the final series has yet to be released.
