Three Swift Current Broncos had their names called during the NHL draft on Saturday.

The Winnipeg Jets selected forward Adam Lowry in the third round, 67th overall.

New Jersey picked defenceman Reece Scarlett in the sixth round, 159th overall.

Detroit nabbed import defenceman Richard Nedomlel in the sixth round, 175th overall.

Lowry is the second draft pick for the Jets since their return to Winnipeg.

The son of former NHLer Dave Lowry scored 18 goals with 27 assists for 45 points in his second season with Swift Current.

Lowry had a slow start to the season due to contracting mono, but improved his performance to nearly a point-per-game level in the final 40 games.

The Calgary native was the 2010 WHL scholastic player of the year, and is a two-time WHL Eastern Conference scholarstic player of the year.

He was ranked 58th among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting.

Scarlett slipped to the sixth round despite actually being ranked ahead of Lowry by Central Scouting.

The Sherwood Park native had 6 goals and 18 assists for 24 points as a sophomore.

He played more minutes than any other Broncos defenceman and was a fixture on both special teams units.

Scarlett also played for Canada at the World Under 18 tournament.

Nedomlel had 10 assists for the Broncos during his rookie season.

The 6'4 Czech brought a physical game to Swift Current and earned more ice time towards the end of the schedule.

He went from being off the radar in September to being ranked by Central Scouting in April.

All three players are expected to be back with the Broncos this fall.
