Three southwest boys volleyball teams booked a ticket to Provincials over the weekend in their respective SHSAA Regional championships.


Both Fox Valley and Frontier are moving on to SHSAA 1A Boys Provincials after they placed second and third respectively at the 1A Boys West Regionals in Frontier.

The pair of schools now head to Middle Lake and are joined by the hosts, Rouleau, Thunderchild, Edam, Annaheim, Arcola, Bellevue, and Cut Knife.


In 2A, the Leader Saints are headed to Kinistino for provincials after a third-place finish at their 2A Boys East Regional in Gravelbourg.

Leader joins Kinistino, Meath Park, Carrot River, Wilkie, Wawota, Pinehouse Lake, Medstead, Montmartre, and Saskatoon Ecole Canadienne.


Meanwhile, the Shaunavon Shadows came one set away from advancing to 3A Boys Provincials, but placed fourth at their 3A Boys East Regional at Outlook LCBI.

Shaunavon fell in three sets to Moose Jaw Cornerstone in the Regional Bronze medal game with a spot at Provincials on the line.
