A pair of Swift Current teams picked up wins yesterday as they began their two-game total point provincial series.

The Full Line Ag Female Midget 'AA' Titans, Swift Current Bantam Provincial team and the Pee Wee 'A' Broncos all scored road victories yesterday.

Playing in Weyburn, the Full Line Ag Titans began their second round series with a shutout of the Weyburn Drillers 3-0.

The Titans got on the board first early in the game.

With the game just over a minute and a half old, Swift Current's captain Katey Hope put the Titans up 1-0.

The score remained 1-0 for nearly the next 40 minutes, however a quick Swift Current push late in the second would increase their lead.

With 1:01 remaining in the second period Chelsea Wilson found the back of the net pushing the Titans lead to 2-0, then just thirty seconds later Hope scored her second goal of the game giving the Titans a 3-0 lead entering the third.

Neither team found the back of the net in the final frame, meaning the Titans will carry a 3-0 lead in to Sunday's game two.

For the Swift Current Bantam Provincial team, they were just getting their provincial run started.

Playing in the Bantam A category, Swift Current went in to Milestone and came away with a 5-3 win.

Swift Current will now take their two goal lead in to game two of the series, which is scheduled to be played on Sunday at Fairview West with puck drop at 6:00pm.

On the road in Estevan, the Pee Wee 'A' Broncos scored a 6-2 win.

With the victory, Swift Current will now carry a four goal lead into game two, which will also be played at Fairview West on Sunday with puck drop scheduled for 3:30pm.
