The Swift Current Broncos are in Calgary to start off a three-games-in-three-days Alberta road swing, beginning with tonight's tilt against the Hitmen.

Coming off a four-assist night in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Prince Albert Raiders Tuesday, Matteo Gennaro will get a chance tonight to play in front of friends and family against his former team.

"I felt pretty comfortable, I think," said Gennaro, who has a goal and five points in three games since Swift Current acquired him from Calgary, on Tuesday's win. "It's been a pretty smooth transition. Manny [Viveiros] and the rest of the coaching staff are great, they spent some time with me and really went over some detailed things. It's part of being a hockey player - you have to adjust and read and react out on the ice. It's been a pretty smooth transition but I still can improve."

Associate Coach Ryan Smith said that while Calgary's 8-16-4, Red Deer (who the Broncos visit Saturday) is 9-17-4, and Edmonton (Sunday's game) is 9-16-2, they can be dangerous.

"These teams are still good hockey clubs. They haven't had the record maybe they want, but watching their games and playing against them, I mean Calgary gave us everything we could handle, Edmonton beat us here, Red Deer was an open net. We played these teams, and we played them quite tight. I would expect the same thing. It's going to be hard, heavy hockey. It always is in Alberta."

Pre-game show starts tonight live on The Eagle 94.1 with Robertson Family Group Swift Current Broncos Hockey at 7:30 p.m.
