Once again, the offence could not find a spark and ultimatetly let the Swift Current Midget 'AAA' 57's down Wednesday night.

Hosting the Regina White Sox at Mitchell Field, the 57's were only able to manage one run on four hits in a 5-1 loss.

The defeat leaves Swift Current still searching for their first win of the season, currently holding a record of 0-6-1.

Following a scoreless 1st inning, the White Sox got on the board in the top half of the 2nd.

After a one-out triple, Regina used a groundout to second base to cash in the runner for a 1-0 lead.

The White Sox then doubled their lead to 2-0 in the 3rd, which is where the score remained until the 6th.

With a runner on second and two-out in the top half of the inning, Regina got a RBI single off the bat of Ethan Klebeck, extending their advantage to 3-0.

Still unable to get on the scoreboard heading into the 7th and final inning, the whole got even deeper for the 57's when the White Sox tacked on two more runs in the top half.

Down to their final three outs, Logan Fritzke picked up his second single of the game to lead off the inning for Swift Current.

After advancing to second on a wild, pitch, Fritzke came around to score with one out on an error by the Regina Short-Stop.

However, that would be as close as the 57's would get, as White Sox lefty Dylan Bells would put the finishing touches on a complete game, 14 strikeout performance.

Next up for Swift Current will be a trip to Saskatoon on Saturday to take on the Giants for a pair of games.
