Swift Current's Tanner Fritzke delivers a pitch at Tournament 12

With Tournament 12 in the rear view mirror, Swift Current's Tanner Fritzke is back to gearing up for hockey season with the Evans Brothers Home Hardware Legionnaires.

Fritzke made his return to the ice Sunday, following the 4 day baseball tournament in Toronto, that saw him and Team Prairies claim the championship.

Looking back on the event, Fritzke says Tournament 12 was a tremendous opportunity to take part in.

"It was one of the best experiences I have had in my entire life. It's pretty awesome to play in front of a bunch of scout in the Rogers Center. Hopefully it allows me to get my name out there and get on the radar a bit more," he said.

Fritzke also had the opportunity to meet Toronto Blue Jays Hall of Famer Roberto Alomar.

"It's pretty amazing to meet someone special like that, who was known all around the world for how he played baseball," he added.

Fritzke pitched 3 innings in the tournament, allowing just 1 run on 4 hits and 2 walks, while striking out 3.
