The Swift Current Indians took a big step towards posting the best overall record in the WMBL, thanks to a 7-2 win in Medicine Hat along with a Regina Red Sox loss to Melville.
The Indians scored three runs in the 8th inning to put the game away. Brady Hohl was 4-5 at the plate with an RBI. The Indians took advantage of six errors charged to the Mavericks.
Eric Dye picked up the win on the mound, tossing seven strong innings with 6 strike outs. The win pushes the Indians' overall record to 26-9. Regina's loss to Melville dropped them to 26-12 on the season.
The Indians are home tonight to the Edmonton Prospects at 7:05pm from Mitchell Field.
