It's been an impressive start to the Premier Soccer League season for the Swift Current United Under-14 Girls.

They're won twice and tied twice against some of the top teams in the province.

"Through four games we definitely feel like we're a legitimate PSL team," said Assistant coach Steven Mah. "If some things go right hopefully we can make the playoffs and really compete for a top spot."

Mah described them as a group that succeeds with team play and depth.

Steven Mah Interview"We probably don't have any superstar players in this league," he said. "But a good, balanced lineup that really compete against any team so far that we've seen."

This weekend will be the biggest test of their season as they play the undefeated Aurora Concordes and have a re-match of their draw against the Prince Albert Celtic.

"It's the toughest weekend of the year and one we've been looking forward to maybe both positively and negatively in that it is going to be a tough test," Mah said. "Any points we get this weekend will have been well earned that's for sure."

Rachel Dorais leads the team with 4 goals, while Hannah Dyck has 2 shutouts in goal.
