Swift Current Broncos Centre Taylor Vause recently reached a major milestone in his WHL career reaching and surpassing 250 games played in the major-junior league.

He scored twice against Regina on Friday to make it a memorable night.

The Broncos captain knows the 250 mark is nice, but he's not done just yet.

"From the first game I played in Calgary a lot of things have happened since then," Vause said. "It's been a good go and I'm looking forward to going down the stretch here."

He looked back on some of the most memorable times.

"My rookie year playoffs was a really fun time," Vause said. "Going to seven against Medicine Hat was a great experience. Another big one was playing in Calgary my rookie year, I scored a pretty nice goal there."

The leading scorer on the Broncos wants to get his team back to the playoff dance.

"Everyone in the room wants that," Vause said. "We want to do it for the city of Swift Current, the fans, and also just the guys in the room."

Vause has 69 goals and 94 assists in 251 career games played with Swift Current. 57 of those points have come this season.

His father Dean was a Bronco and Taylor grew up wearing Bronco colours. His grandmather lives in Swift Current and attends every home game.

"I've just been so fortunate to have her there," Vause said. "It's just been a huge advantage... I love her a lot and I'm glad she's been there during my career."

The Broncos are in action again tonight when they visit the Saskatoon Blades. Our broadcast starts at 6:30pm on The Eagle 94.1 FM
