SunDogs Under 16 Boys

Club Volleyball will be front and centre this weekend as two teams from Swift Current head to Saskatoon for provincial tournaments.

The SunDogs Girls Under 14 team has had a great couple of weeks of high intensity practices heading into this weekend.

Full Interview with Chelsea Carrick"We have twelve girls from in and around the Swift Current area. Six of them returned from last season with the same team and six new girls out," said Coach Chelsea Carrick. "The girls have done really well and we are going into the weekend with high hopes."

The SunDogs Boys Under 16 team will also be in Saskatoon and they head into the weekend as the top ranked team in the province.

Full Interview with Adam Wilson"We got an exceptionally athletic group this year. Right up and down the line-up we got guys that can hit the ball hard and can serve and can pass and do everything you want them to do. We have won four tournaments so we are pretty happy with that success," said Coach Adam Wilson. "We are feeling pretty confident. We feel like we are definitely have a good shot at it."

Some of the boys team stand out players this season has been power hitters Darcy French from Consul and Marcus Kouri from Swift Current.

Both teams feel that their top competition heading into the weekend will be teams based out of Prince Albert.
