Dillon Wagner spent 3 season with the Swift Current Broncos

The Swift Current Broncos took on a familiar face this past Sunday when they were in Portland.

A former fan favourite, Dillon Wagner who was traded early this season, was in the line-up as the Portland Winterhawks got the better of Swift Current 6-2.

Wagner says he's thankful for the opportunity he's been given on the west coast. "It's nice to come to a team that's a contender and I thank Mark (Lamb) for allowing me the chance to come to a place that has a chance to get a long push in my last year of junior", Wagner said.

Regarding the transition from Swift Current to Portland, Wagner says things are beginning to come together for him. "It's been a bit of a struggle the first few games but I think I'm getting more comfortable"

Wagner adds he's made a lot of life long friends in Swift Current and that he'll be back sometime during the summer to visit.

In 7 games played with the Winterhawks, Wagner has 2 goals so far and 17 penalty minutes. All those penalties came in Sunday's game versus the Broncos when he fought Dillon Heatherington during the third period line brawl.
