Bradi Wall Silver
Bradi Wall with her silver medal

A local Swift Current talent accomplished one of her goals over the past few weeks, competing at the 2015 Pan-Am Games in Toronto.

Swift Current's Bradi Wall, not only competed at the games, as a member of Canada's National Women's Baseball team, but she also brought home some hardware, as Canada claimed the silver medal in Women's Baseball.

Now with the Pan-Am Games in the rear view, Wall has had a few days to look back on her overall experience.

The Team Canada Short Stop says, the Pan Am's were a great experience.

"Being in the Pan-Am's is something I've never done before so being able to being able to play in an event that big is amazing, and it's something I don't think many people can say they've done. It was a great experience to play for our country and getting a medal was awesome. It wasn't gold, so it wasn't exactly what we were going for, but silver is still a great feat, and something to be proud of." she said.

"Going out there and showing in our home country that we were there to play and that we are a very competitive team was an amazing feeling. Wearing that silver medal and knowing that I was on that team and helped to contribute to winning that medal. It's not a gold, but every day it gets better and better. Right after the loss it was pretty tough to take that silver, but right now it's a pretty sweet feeling knowing that we got silver." Wall added.

With the Pan Am Games now under her belt, Wall encourages all young athletes to chase their goals as well.

"Know what goals you want, and go for them. Don't let anybody say you can't, and if someone thinks you can't, then go prove them wrong. What's better to have a great goal, then accomplish it. Be competitive, be dedicated, be stubborn. Aim for the stars, go for whatever goal you want, and work hard until you get it."

Wall tallied a total of 6 RBI's and scored 4 runs in the tournament.
