The Broncos Andy Blanke drops the mitts during Swift Current's 6-2 win on November 18th.

As the playoffs near the Swift Current Broncos are looking to make up ground on the Red Deer Rebels and Brandon Wheat Kings.

That task will not be easy tonight as the Broncos host the East Division leading Moose Jaw Warriors.

The Warriors have collected seven, out of a possible eight, points during their last four games but have had their hands full while playing Swift Current, losing two of four games so far this season. The Warriors have yet to win at the Credit Union iPlex this season.

Moose Jaw Assistant Coach Mike Vandenberghe knows they have to be ready for the Broncos.

“I'm hoping we come out and we can do the job. They're another team that plays very well at home and it's going to be a big test for us. We have to figure out a way to get our special teams going and take win wins on the road.”

Moose Jaw was one of the more active teams at the trade deadline choosing to bolster their line-up with the likes of Centreman Cam Braes from Lethbridge and Winger James Henry from Vancouver.

"They're making a run there's no doubt about it," said Broncos Assistant Coach Darren Evjen. "They've added some key parts to make them deep. They've got a lot of veteran players there, but again we worry about ourselves. We feel very confident that when we play those guys on Tuesday we will get two points. It's going to be a hard-nosed game, it always is when we play each other."

Tickets for tonight's game are only $2.00. Play by play can be heard on the Eagle 94.1 FM with pregame coverage beginning at 6:30. Puck drop is at 7:05 at the Credit Union I-plex.
