A first inning grand slam set the pace for the Swift Current Broncos last night at Mitchell Field.

The Indians took the lead early, thanks to a bases-clearing grand slam from the Indians' Joe Wendte.  The Tribe built an 8-1 lead after four innings, and cruised to an 8-5 win in the end.

Local pitching product Taylor MacDonnell picked up the win on the mound, pitching six innings and allowing only one run.  The win pushes the Indians to a league best 9-3 on the season.

Tonight, they go after their tenth win of the season as they head to Yorkton to play the Cardinals.
