The Broncos selected Richmond's Glenn Gawdin 5th overall in the 1rst round of the WHL Draft.

Gawdin is scored 58 goals and 90 points in 43 games for Seafair in the PCAHA.

He is a right shooting centre listed at 6'0 and 172lbs.

BRONCOS ADD CHILD

The Broncos added a potential future #1 goalie in the second round.

They selected Travis Child from the Camrose Vikings of the AMBHL.

Child posted a record of 7-8-4 with a 3.46 GAA and a .910 save percentage.

He is listed at 6'0 and 168lbs.

THIRD ROUND


The Broncos added their first defenceman of the 2012 draft in the third round with hulking Burnaby product Don Masellis.

He is listed at 6'0 and 212lbs and played on the Burnaby Winter Club team with 1rst overall pick (for Seattle) Mathew Barzal.

Their second pick of the third round was Saskatoon left winger Wyatt Sloboshan.

He is listed at 5'9 and 150lbs.

Sloboshan led the Saskatoon Maniacs of the GSHL with 17 goals and 39 points in 25 regular season games.

He added 10 points in 5 playoff games.

Jackson Keane

FOURTH ROUND

The Broncos added another player with NHL bloodlines in the fourth round when they picked Jackson Keane from the Winnipeg Monarchs.

Jackson is the son of former NHLer Mike Keane.

He scored 51 points in 30 games this season and was ranked by some scouts as a possible second round pick.

FIFTH ROUND

Swift Current selected D Maxime Lajoie from the Calgary Royals of the AMBHL with their fifth round pick, 95th overall.

Lajoie is listed at 5'10 and 152lbs. He scored 12 points in 33 games this season.

SEVENTH ROUND

The Broncos drafted forward Brandan Arnold, the 4th leading scorer of the Saskatchewan Bantam AA League in the seventh round today.

Arnold scored 25 goals and 62 points in 24 games this season for the West Central Wheat Kings.

The Dodsland, SK native is listed at 5'7 and 123lbs.

NINTH ROUND

Swift Current added another goal scorer by selecting forward Ryan Rottenburger 183rd overall.

Rottenburger scored 23 goals in 24 games with the Sask Valley Vipers of the Saskatchewan Bantam AA League.

The left handed shooting winger from Radisson, SK is listed at 6'0 and 167lbs.

ELEVENTH ROUND

The Broncos finished the draft by picking big defenceman Kruz Listmayer from the Winnipeg Bantam AAA Hawks.

Listmayer scored 6 points in 22 games. He is 6’0, 210lbs and the nephew of former Bronco Colton Orr.
