Kootenay squared up their series with Moose Jaw, beating the Warriors 5-2 in WHL playoff action last night.

Former Bronco Captain Cody Eakin had two assists in the contest, as the series shifts to the Crushed Can in Moose Jaw on Tuesday and Wednesday.

In other action, Saskatoon opened up their series with an 8-1 win over Prince Albert, Medicine Hat beat Brandon 5-2 to tie the series at one, Red Deer beat Edmonton 5-2 to take a 2-0 series lead, Tri-City is also up 2-0 on Vancouver with a 6-5 win last night, Kelowna beat Prince George 7-4 to take a 2-0 series lead, Spokane beat Chilliwack 5-0 to take the first two against the Bruins, and Portland blanked Everett 4-0 to open that series.

 

Saskatoon hosts Prince Albert and Portland entertains Everett in game two of their series tonight.
