The Swift Current Broncos and Moose Jaw Warriors will meet in a WHL playoff series for the first time since 1999.

The East Division rivals will have the easiest travel schedule of the first round with only ninety minutes between the two cities.

Swift Current's loss to Regina on Wednesday night ensured the Warriors would finish second in the division and earn home ice advantage in the best-of-seven series.

The WHL released an official schedule for the series which will start on Friday, March 24th at Mosaic Place.

The Warriors lead the regular season series between the two teams 3-1. The clubs will face each other twice more in a home-and-home on the final weekend of the WHL regular season.

The Broncos are 38-22-4-6 and Moose Jaw sits at 41-20-8-1.

The series is Swift Current's return to the playoffs after missing out last season.

Other Eastern Conference playoff series include Medicine Hat vs. Brandon and Lethbridge vs. Brandon. Regina will play either Calgary or Saskatoon.
