Shaunavon's Hayley Wickenheiser is golden again.

For the fourth straight time, Wickenheiser and Team Canada are Olympic women's hockey champions.

Marie-Philip Poulin played hero by tying the game in the final minute and winning it in overtime for Canada in a 3-2 victory over their rivals from the United States Thursday in Sochi. Down 2-0 late, Brianne Jenner got Canada on the scoreboard with 3:26 left in regulation.

Canada has won twenty consecutive Olympic hockey games since losing the gold medal game in 1998.

Wickenheiser has now won five different Olympic medals starting with a silver in 1998 and four straight golds in 2002, 2006, 2010 and now 2014. She was Canada's flag bearer in the opening ceremonies and was elected to the IOC's Athletic Commission.

The men's hockey team will try to follow suit today when they face the US in the semi-final later this morning. Aneroid's Patrick Marleau is on Team Canada, and has four assists in the four games so far.

Face-off is at 11:00am. and the game can be seen on CBC. The winner will face either Sweden or Finland in Sunday's gold medal game.

Meanwhile, the gold rush is continuing with another gold medal for Canada this morning. Marielle Thompson of Whistler finished first in women's ski-cross while teammate Kelsey Serwa of Kelowna won silver.

Canada now has 22 medals at the games, including eight gold, and another one is possible today in Curling as Brad Jacobs faces Great Britain in the men's final at 7:30am. Jennifer Jones won gold for Canada on the women's side Wednesday.
