The Diamond Energy Female Midget Wildcats are hosting all of the teams in the Provincial AAA Midget league for the annual Showcase Tournament.

     The Wildcats opened the tournament with a 5-3 loss to Weyburn last night.  Kali Jamieson had a pair of goals in the loss.  The Wildcats finish the tournament against Saskatoon this afternoon.  Face-off is at 12:30 at the Credit Union iplex.

     Other scores in the tournament yesterday are as follows.  Regina blanked Saskatoon 2-0, Notre Dame beat the Battlefords 8-3, and Prince Albert and Melville skated to a 2-2 tie.

     Today, Weyburn takes on the Battlefords, Melville plays Regina, and Notre Dame battles Prince Albert.  All games take place at the Fairview Arenas.

     The Home Hardware Legionnaires wrap up the pre-season against the defending Telus Cup Champion Notre Dame Hounds in Caronport today.
