Despite scoring the first goal two minutes in, the Swift Current Diamond Energy Wildcats were defeated in game 2 of their playoff series against the Saskatoon Stars last night, as they fell 5-1.
Brook McAdam scoring the lone Wildcats marker, while Brooklyn Weisgerber would make 39 saves in the losing effort.
Penalty problems plagued the team for a large portion of the second half of the game, as Swift Current picked up 30 minutes in penalty box including a couple of four minute calls.
The Wildcats look to fend off elimination this Thursday when they head up to Saskatoon for game 3 of the series. Game 4, if necessary, will be back in Swift Current on Saturday.
