This weekend will be a chance for the Diamond Energy Female Mideget AAA Wildcats to show off their talents as they head to Manitoba for the Central Plains Female Hockey Showcase.
The team has been working on systems the last couple of weeks
Full Interview with Terry Pavely"We've had some opportunities in the last two weeks to work on our powerplay," said Wildcats Head Coach Terry Pavely. "That's something in our first two weekends of exhibition we haven't worked on it at all, so we are starting to look at five on three and five on four and the more you practice it obviously the more confident the more comfortable they are when the game comes."
The Showcase tournament is being held in Portage la Prairie and runs through the weekend. There are teams from all across Manitoba and the Wildcats are the only team from Saskatchewan.
Scouts will be in attendance from Canadian Univerities, Hockey Canada and the NCAA.
The Wildcats open their regular season on October 6th against Prince Albert.
