The playoff run begins Thursday night for the Diamond Energy Female Midget ‘AAA’ Wildcats.

The fifth-seeded Wildcats will head to Regina to battle the fourth-ranked Rebels in game one of their best of five Saskatchewan Female Midget ‘AAA’ Hockey League quarter-final.

However, the two teams have not played a league game since October 23, 2016.

Swift Current enters the post-season boasting the league scoring champion.

Wildcats rookie forward Taylor Lind won the scoring title with 58 points in 28 games.

Lind was also named Rookie of the Year, as well as a First Team All-Star.

Wildcats’ Chloe Smith and Taylor Kirwan meanwhile, were named Second Team All-Stars.
