The Diamond Energy Female Midget Wildcats came all the way back from a 2-0 third-period deficit to beat the Prince Albert Bears 3-2 in the shootout Friday on the road.
Karlie Bell and Dayna Winzer scored early in the final frame to force overtime, and Jessica Pele scored the winner in the shootout.
The two teams play again Saturday in the final game before the Christmas break.
In other local minor hockey, the Kabos Bantam Raiders start a two-game road swing Saturday in Weyburn, and then head to Estevan on Sunday.
