A third straight weekend split for the Diamond Energy Female Midget 'AAA' Wildcats.

Playing their first two home games of the regular season, the Wildcats fell 3-1 to the Regina Rebels on Saturday before bouncing back with a 3-2 win over Regina on Sunday.

After struggling to find the back of the net on Saturday, Head Coach Terry Pavely split up his top line of Janessa Fournier, Chloe Smith and Taylor Lind, which paid dividends.

Lind scored a pair of goals for Swift Current, with one of which coming on the power-play, while Fournier broke the 2-2 tie with just 3:42 left to go in the third period.

Amara Lewendon picked up the win in goal for the Wildcats turning aside 22 of the 24 shots she faced.

Six games into the season, the Wildcats sit fourth in league standings with a record of 3-1-0-2.

Swift Current will resume their schedule on Saturday when they host Weyburn on Saturday.
