The Diamond Energy Female Midget Wildcats swept a homestand with the Battlefords, as they get ready to go back to the prestigious Mac's Midget Tournament later this week.

     The Wildcats scored a 3-1 win over the Sharks on Saturday, with Jenna Smith scoring a pair, and Kelsey Mastel adding a goal of her own.  They followed that up with a 1-0 win last night, with Bailey Habscheid scoring the game's only goal midway through the third period.

     The Wildcats finish League play for 2009 tied for second with a 10-5-2-0 record.  They are now getting set for the Mac's Midget Tournament in Calgary, where they are two-time defending champs.  Action starts on Boxing Day.

     In other minor hockey action from the weekend, the South West Terminal Pee-Wee Broncos only managed one win in the three-game round robin at their home tournament this weekend.  They play the D-final this morning at the Fairview Arenas.

     The K-Motel Midget Hurricanes beat Regina 7-1 last night, and will host the Moose Jaw Warriors tonight.  Face-off is at 7:30pm from the Credit Union iplex.

     The Kabos Bantam Raiders are in Regina for their last league action of 2009 today.
