The Diamond Energy Female Midget Wildcats kicked off the Mac's Midget Tournament in Calgary with a 2-2 tie against the Westman Wildcats on Friday.
Dayna Winzer scored both goals for Swift Current and goaltender Jasey Book made 35 saves.
The Wildcats will take on the Peace Country Storm in their next round-robin game this afternoon. The tournament continues to New Year's Day.
