A pair of losses sandwiched three wins for the Diamond Energy Female Midget AAA Wildcats at the prestigious Mandi Schwartz Memorial Tournament, hosted by the Notre Dame Hounds.

The Wildcats fell 5-3 to the Regina Rebels in their opener, but bounced back with a huge 5-4 come-from-behind win over the Calgary Fire in Game 2 - Swift trailed 3-1 in the third.

Game 3 was a convincing 6-0 shutout win over the Vancouver Island Seals.

The Wildcats then followed that up with a 4-2 victory over Red Deer on Saturday, before a tough 3-0 loss to Lloydminster on Sunday closed out Swift's tournament schedule. The Wildcats managed to outshoot Lloyd 31-18 in the loss.

Amaya Giraudier earned two of the Wildcats' three wins (Calgary, Red Deer), while Harper Davey recorded the shutout against Vancouver Island.

Leading the way offensively was a seven-goal output from captain Taylor Lind, highlighted by a hat-trick against Vancouver Island.

Sara Kendall had a trio of goals, while Baylee Kirwan and Brynne Doerksen each had two.

Carissa Hogan, Layne Hryhoriw, Brooklyn Rublee, and Crystal Wale also added singles for the Wildcats, who resume their regular-season schedule this weekend at home to the Prince Albert Northern Bears.

Saturday's game gets underway 7:45 p.m. at Fairview West.
