Swift Current golfer Griffin Wilson earned Maple Leaf Junior Tour tournament win in the Order of Merit (OOM) series in North Battleford.

Wilson shot an opening-round 80, following that up with a 78 to post a 158. The score gave him a two-shot win over Warman's Parker Noln-Ens in the Junior Boys division.

"I was one back so was just trying to hit a good drive and make birdie to give myself a chance," said Wilson, on the final hole of the tournament. "I didn’t play the way I wanted to but grinded it out on the final day and won."

The win gives Wilson an 85-point lead on Noln-Ens (300 to 225) in the OOM standings through three events.

Two other Swift golfers were hovering in the bottom half of their respective divisions.

Ethan Fizell finished 11th in Juvenile Boys with a score of 178 (93, 85), and Ryan McCleary finished T-12th in Bantam Boys with a two-round total of 183 (95, 88).

Fizell sits in a tie for 11th in the Juvenile Boys OOM standings with 75 points, while McCleary stands in a tie for 12th at that same mark in the Bantam Boys division.

The next OOM series tournament runs June 30 - July 1 in Saskatoon.
