The season is over for the La Ronge Ice Wolves.
They fell 4-0 to Portage in the 7th and deciding game of the ANAVET Cup, a series between the SJHL and MJHL champions.
Frontier's Dayton Fossum, Kyle's Byron Sorenson and Swift Current's Myles Hovdebo are in the Wolves' lineup.
They wrap up the season as back-to-back SJHL champions while Portage moves on to the Royal Bank Cup.
There will still be some local representation at the national Junior A championship event.
Herbert's Blake Voth and the Vernon Vipers beat Spruce Grove 4-2 in game 7 of the Doyle Cup series between the BCHL and AJHL champions.
Former Swift Current Bronco and Regina Pat Dane Muench scored in a winning cause for the Vipers.
Vernon will be attempting to win a third consecutive national championship.
