It was an exciting weekend for Great Plains College Sundogs off-side hitter, Darby Zacharias.
His Men's squad won their second provincial title in 3 years, plus he was named the Prairie Athletic Conference's Mens MVP.
"A pretty good feeling, didn't really expect it," said Zacharias after winning the championship and MVP title.
The SunDogs claimed provincial gold for the second time in 3 years winning Saturday over the Bethany Eagles at Swift Current Comprehensive High School.
Both the Men's and Women's teams will be competing at the Western Canadian College Open Volleyball Championships this upcoming weekend in Olds, Alberta. Last year, the SunDogs Men's team captured silver at this event.
Games are scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
