The Shaunavon Music Festival Association is kicking things into gear this week, as member Sandra Davis explained, “The Shaunavon and District Music Festival Association is going to be holding it's 78th annual festival. It's going to occur Tuesday April the 17th until Thursday April 19th. This year we have musicians from Admiral, Bracken, Clayton, Eastend, Frontier, Gull Lake and Shaunavon.”

Davis invites everyone to attend a session or the final performance on Thursday, “We welcome everyone in the Southwest to attend these performances. The admission is two dollars per session or a weekly pass for ten dollars.”

And with this being the 78th anniversary of the Music Festival Sandra Davis said this years is due to a number of people, “I'm going to give a lot of credit to the music teachers that we have in our community. They put in a lot of time and effort and I think the parents who support their children and you got to give the kids credit cause they are the ones who are practicing so I think they deserve the most kudos.”

Programs are available at Shaunavon Rexall, the Eastend Health and Gift Rexall, Norheims Store and G.R. Fresh Meats and Grocery in Frontier, and at Peterson's AG Foods in Gull Lake.
