The Gull Lake Town Council has recently approved the construction of a second water supply well.

Gull Lake Town Administrator, Dawnette Peterson, said the well was highly recommended and would ensure an uninterrupted supply of water if the main well fails.

The new well will be located close to the town's existing well, 11 kilometers north of Gull Lake, and construction is expected to begin in late summer.

Peterson adds, "It's just to secure a steady, safe supply of water to the town."

Estimated cost of the well is $195,000.
